APOSTOLIC NUNCIO’S SECRETARY GOES ON TRANSFER

The Secretary to the Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana, Rev. Msgr. Pavol Talapka has been transferred to the Republic of Taiwan, after many years of service to the Church in Ghana through the Apostolic Nunciature.

His Excellency, Henryk Mieczyslaw JAGODZINSKI (Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana) disclosed this to the President and members of the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference (GCBC), during their May Plenary Meeting, held  at the Conference Hall of the National Catholic Secretariat (NCS), Accra, 4th to 6th May 2021,

His Excellency, JAGODZINSKI expressed gratitude to the GCBC President, Most Rev. Philip Naameh, the members and the entire people of Ghana for the love and care given to him and especially to his Secretary, Msgr. Talapka throughout his long stay in Ghana. He informed the Conference that his Secretary, Monsignor Talapka has been transferred to Taiwan. Monsignor Talapka also thanked the Conference and the people for their cordial relationship with him throughout his stay. He said that he had served in Africa and has been offered the opportunity to serve in Asia too.

In response, Archbishop Naameh thanked the outgoing Secretary for his meritorious service to the Church in Ghana and asked for God’s guidance for him as he moves on from Africa to Asia in the service of the universal Church. He assured his Excellency, the Apostolic Nuncio that the Conference, the faithful and the entire people of Ghana would continue to extend their love and goodwill to him as he serves the people of God in this part of the world. The Bishops prayed for Msgr. Talapka and imparted their apostolic blessing on him.
